ARE YOU READY FOR CRAWFISH?
That's a rhetorical question, of course! The date of the boil is approaching - Saturday, May 29. The cost is the same as last year - $25 for dues paid members, $30 for non-dues members. (You should have an ID card, but please
email us if you're not sure.) Part of the charge goes to our scholarship fund.
We also have a new tee shirt that we'll be selling. The design and tees are done by a local shop, Logo Joe's in Cary. Check out the design below - it's available in either purple or gold shirt. We do need to get the shirt orders (with payment) in hand by THURSDAY, MAY 20 so we can have the shirts ready at the boil - so don't delay! Here's the design:
There is one item we still need some help with - we need a couple more pots (80 - 100 qt) and burner/tank rigs. There is an opportunity here too, if you have an interest in buying a new pot/burner combo. Bayou Classic Depot has offered a discount on a 100 qt aluminum pot (with insert & lid) plus the Bayou Classic SP2 burner and a stainless steel paddle. These would normally go for around $300 with shipping, but if we can get 4 orders (the chapter will order one set), the cost is $236.25 shipped. That's a great deal on a nice boiling set so let us know if you're interested - but please do so this week.
Thanks and GEAUX TIGERS,
