BATON ROUGE, La. - After exploding for eight runs in the third inning, No. 27 LSU never looked back, as a seven-inning masterpiece by Austin Ross and three homers from the LSU offense powered the Tigers to a 17-3 victory over Mississippi State Friday night in Alex Box Stadium, clinching a berth for LSU in the SEC Tournament.

BATON ROUGE - Nine members of the LSU football team graduated from the university on Friday as LSU held its annual Spring Commencement.

BATON ROUGE - Forty-six LSU student-athletes representing 14 Tiger sports were among students who participated in spring commencement ceremonies held Friday on LSU's campus. Football's David Impastato graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in biological sciences, while tennis's Sloane Mathis graduated Cum Laude with a degree in kinesiology.

BATON ROUGE - LSU men's basketball coach Trent Johnson announced on Friday that guard Bo Spencer is ineligible for participation for the fall semester with the team and must pass course hours in the fall to be eligible to rejoin the team at the end of that semester.

Having won eight individual state championships during her prep career at Loranger High School in Hammond, La., it only made sense that Tate would take the next step and join an LSU program steeped in championship tradition. And in less than two years, she has quickly developed into one of the NCAA's premier performers in the 400-meter hurdles.

WILMINGTON, N.C. - LSU junior golf Megan McChrystal fired a school and NCAA Championship single-round score of 8-under 64 Friday in the final round of the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship at the Country Club of Landfall.
